Fully compliant with ISO20022, Addresstune™ enables efficient and transparent cross border transactions with minimal risk and maximum security. It is now being introduced across the EMEA region.
NTT DATA and NTT DATA Luweave today announced the global rollout of their structured address service for financial services institutions, Addresstune™, starting in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). In response to evolving cross-border payment regulations, AddresstuneTM leverages generative AI to automatically convert unstructured address data into internationally standardized formats, reducing input errors and operational burden.
Addresstune™ initially launched in Japan in April 2025 and rapidly gained traction among major financial institutions and large enterprises locally. Now, with international regulations mandating structured address data in a standardised format from November 2026, NTT DATA and NTT DATA Luweave are beginning the global rollout of the solution to support international financial institutions and enterprises as they adapt to the stringent changes.
Manami Takehara, Head of Third Financial Sector, NTT DATA Japan, said:
"With the growing need for more advanced international remittances and stronger anti-money laundering measures, the structuring of address information has become a global challenge. We place great importance on contributing to its resolution."
Many institutions still rely on legacy systems containing large volumes of unstructured address data. Manually updating this data is impractical and outsourcing the work or undertaking large-scale system wide upgrades can be too expensive.
Addresstune™ tackles these challenges by enabling efficient and secure address structuring. The SaaS-based solution leverages STRUCTURIZ®, NTT DATA Luweave's proprietary product, along with generative AI to convert address data into ISO20022-compliant structured formats. It automatically detects typographical errors, spelling variations, missing information, and identifies which components of an address correspond to the standardized ISO20022 fields.
To ensure a smooth transition, Addresstune™ provides end-to-end support to mitigate the impact of poor data quality on structuring accuracy, providing a reliable structured address data set that can be confidently used in business operations. This support includes:
- Data Cleansing: Addresstune™ analyzes the existing data's quality, identifies cleansing points, and provides tools to help clients perform cleansing independently.
- Address Structuring: Once cleansed, unstructured address data is converted into ISO20022-compliant formats. The system analyzes country-specific address formats and accurately maps each component to the appropriate field.
- Validity Check: Addresstune™ validates the structured address data to ensure that it can be used correctly in cross-border payments. The validation tool identifies potential issues based on past error patterns and common mistakes, enabling efficient and reliable verification.
The global roll out of Addresstune™ demonstrates NTT DATA and NTT DATA Luweave's ongoing commitment to delivering practical generative AI powered solutions that enhance both reliability and operational efficiency, especially in markets where strict regulatory compliance is essential.
