everis reinforces its commitment to Open Banking with its Global Center of Excellence

everis, has strengthened its commitment to open banking by creating a Global Center of Excellence dedicated to providing comprehensive open banking solutions for the banking sector, tailored to current clients’ needs.

The CoE is the result of the company’s efforts in open banking in recent years. It offers clients top talent and its own banking platform to help them both in the transformation of their core business and the creation of new digital ventures.

With these enhanced capabilities, the company aims to adapt to the new context caused by COVID-19, which has accelerated a series of trends concerning digital transformation.

These trends include: the need to reduce the time to market of new digital solutions; the generation of new streams of income; the evolution towards new cloud-based open banking platforms; and the adaptation to the new open banking paradigm.

To cover these needs, the CoE applies its unique knowledge and experience in activities related to the digital ecosystem of financial institutions, including regulatory compliance and new Open Banking powered business models, digital banking platforms, management of the partner ecosystem, consultancy, and development of APIs and microservices.

The creation of this CoE strengthens everis Open Banking area and helps to forecast the future needs of its clients. The consulting firm already leads NTT DATA’s global Open Banking Practice that was recently recognized as a leader in Everest Group’s Open Banking IT Services PEAK® Matrix Assessment 2020.

We’re at a time when our clients are demanding new capabilities and high-value services that can be offered without the limitations of physical proximity. And everything in a changing and highly uncertain environment. With the Open Banking CoE, we are responding to our clients demonstrating our ability to quickly adapt to market conditions. This new organization strengthens our ability to help our clients expand their business, create new and innovative business models, as well as achieve competitive advantages at the company level,’ says Manuel Romero, Global Director of the everis and NTT DATA Open Banking Practice.
