Glimp wins Dutch eAwards 2022

Delft startup wins 10,000 euros and participation in acceleration program

Glimp is the winner of the Dutch edition of the eAwards 2022, organized by NTT DATA, a global IT and business services provider. The Delft startup wins 10,000 euros and participation in NTT DATA's acceleration program, consisting of various seminars and conferences. In addition, Glimp will represent our country at the presentation of the Global eAwards, which will take place in Madrid at the end of October. A total of fifteen countries from Europa and Latin America will participate in this final, where the winner will receive another 60,000 euro and an exclusive two-month acceleration program.

Criteria jury session

NTT DATA was looking for projects from startups that contribute to improving the quality of life, solving environmental problems through digital business models or the intensive use of technology. From all the submissions, a select group of startups were allowed to pitch their projects to the judges on Monday, Sept. 26. The five startups were judged on four criteria: problem solution fit, product market fit, innovation degree and impact & growth potential. Through a seven-minute pitch, the startups had to convince the judges, followed by a short Q&A session.

Accelerated burnout recovery

Together with Circularise, EGC Excellence, H2O Systems Holland BV and Pure Planet Pet, Glimp was in the race to become the winner of the Dutch eAwards 2022. Glimp focuses on improving burnout recovery, with at-home breathwork, under the supervision of a professional therapist. Through the "Pebbles," two hand-held devices, people learn to make a habit of mindful breathing through haptic and auditory feedback. As a result, people heal from burnout twice as fast as without the therapy.

Daniel Fuster, CEO Netherlands at NTT DATA Europe & LATAM: "The participating startups made it very difficult for us to choose a winner, they are all very inspiring projects. Nevertheless, Glimp has emerged as the winner. The well-being and mental health of employees is a very important issue. That they approach this in an interesting technological way, is something we can only appreciate."

Jefta Vriend, CEO of Glimp: “Glimp is proud and honored to receive this award. The early start for a MedTech impact can be challenging, and we can get through this NTT opportunity and feel the platform that NTT DATA offers. The Global eAwards in Madrid is Glimps for an international audience, and we are pleased to be representing the Dutch innovation industry here debut. We can't wait to learn about international business during the acceleration program and use the prize money to contribute to our mission to help 100 million people 'catch their breath' by 2030.”
