Last October 20th everis Netherlands and the everis foundation announced Goal 3 as the winner of the first edition of the everis Awards Nederland. It was a very difficult decision as the quality of the projects was really high. GOAL 3 is enabling and empowering doctors with durable and easy-to-understand medical technology at places where it is needed the most.
Every year, millions of adults and children die because they do not get adequate care. Especially doctors and nurses in developing nations are unable to help their patients in time, because they lack the people, training and equipment needed. Innovative tools are needed to address these problems.
This reality has been the starting point of a journey of development and continuous improvement. GOAL 3 identifies and develops data-driven health technologies from a perspective of collaboration and fair-data. These technologies are combined into an integrated and easy-to-use digital tool for health workers. This will enable health workers to provide better care and improve health for all and at a really low cost, starting at $1 a day.
The award involves 10,000 euros, competing in the Global everis Awards against the finalists from 9 different countries and three months of mentoring from the everis Netherlands team and i-deals.
Thank you to all the Jury members, partnering companies, incubators, internal everis evaluators and mentors for supporting what we hope will be the first of many editions of the everis Awards Nederland.
We also want to congratulate the other two finalists: Greenswapp and SyncVR and we hope to see them grow and succeed in the near future.
