Brussels, 5th of October 2023 iQrypto is the winner of the eAwards, organised by the NTT DATA FOUNDATION. The start-up wins 10,000 euros, a mentoring programme and a ticket to Madrid to participate in the Global eAwards that will take place on the 25th of October, 15 countries from Europe and Latin America will participate in this final.
iQrypto provides next-generation Quantum Random Number Generators to make telecommunications secure. Current encryption protocols commonly used in telecommunication systems may be broken with the advent of Quantum Computers. To prevent such a scenario, truly unpredictable encryption keys of high quality are needed. iQrypto uses a proprietary technology to provide the world's smallest and most energy-efficient QRNG to generate keys at an affordable price.
Security is a growing concern in our society. Every day, 30 billion devices are connected, including 5 billion smartphones that transmit personal and sensitive data. Being able to securely protect this data is of paramount importance to society. From instant messaging to banking, every piece of information we share online needs to be encrypted. Currently, QRNGs are not yet widespread into the mass market due to their volume occupation, power consumption and price point. iQrypto aims to remove this barrier with their technology.

Global eAwards - 22nd edition
In 2023, the eAwards will highlight technology projects in 15 European and Latin American countries. The aim is to encourage entrepreneurs who, with innovative projects using technology, improve people's quality of life and are also environmentally friendly.
iQrypto will represent our country in the international finals of the Global eAwards. The final will take place on October 25th, during NTT DATA Talent Week, a week that brings together international entrepreneurs (who have an impact on the world) and the Foundation to work together. During this event, all participating start-ups will receive various tools, methodologies and contacts with investors and experts to meet their specific needs. In this context, the Belgian project will compete with winners from 14 countries for an additional €100,000 prize and a complementary acceleration programme.
