With over 30 years of expertise in management consulting, Robert has dedicated his career primarily to the banking and insurance sectors, contributing to notable projects such as the establishment of a private bank, the merger and acquisition of a Belgian bank, and the pan-European back-office design for a bank insurer.
Robert has actively engaged in a wide spectrum of challenges spanning various industries, including FS, automotive, retail, telecommunications, and utilities. His involvement has embraced critical initiatives such as orchestrating comprehensive restructuring efforts, fostering sustainable growth, guiding transformative shifts in operational models, and leading global company integrations. His pivotal role in shaping and executing company strategy is a reflection of his profound influence and leadership.
Over recent years, NTT DATA EMEAL has considerably strengthened this business line. Van der Eijk's appointment represents another substantial step in advancing this strategy and accelerating growth within the Belgian market.
Throughout his career, Robert has held key roles, including serving as a partner and advisor at a Big Four corporation and taking on international leadership responsibilities in Belux, Austria, and Switzerland. He led the global consulting efforts in finance, risk, and compliance for a multinational consultancy firm within the Financial Services sector.
Van der Eijk will spearhead the development and positioning of this business unit while personally overseeing digital strategy and advisory services in a variety of sectors.
