Global IT and business services provider NTT DATA is one of four Gold Partners of the Brunel Solar Team. During this one-year sponsorship, NTT DATA will help the team increase the knowledge of students at TU Delft in the fields of Digital Experience and Data Analytics. The team, which is a seven-time world champion, will apply this extra knowledge to its self-developed solar car, the Nuna 11s. With it, the students will participate in the Sasol Solar Challenge, which takes place in South Africa from September 9 to 16.
Digital Experience and Data Analytics consultancy
NTT DATA, as part of its pro-bono activities to support the STEM students, is conducting internal workshops to get a good idea of what the Nuna 11s will need in the new race edition and coming up with ideas to improve the current interface of the solar car. Within this sponsorship, the consulting company does not develop technology, but provides the knowledge and skills needed to develop the best digital product for the User Experience (UX) of the solar car.
Daniel Fuster, CEO NTT DATA Netherlands: “We are very happy that we can help the team not only with a financial contribution, but also with our expertise. We believe it is important to support young talent, especially if this is possible in the field of technology and innovation. In recent years, NTT DATA has been working on sustainability objectives and the concept of a solar car fits in nicely with this. We wish the team the best of luck and we hope they take the win!”
